Jacob Shirk is the co-founder, owner, and chief pilot of Peak Performance Helicopters. A locally trained pilot with more than a decade of aviation experience, Jacob has built his career flying helicopters in some of the most demanding and beautiful environments in the West.

His experience spans flight instruction, charter operations, Grand Canyon tours and landings, agricultural operations, cattle mustering, external-load and utility work, aerial photography, and special-event flights. As a Certified Flight Instructor and Instrument Instructor (CFII), Jacob brings extensive real-world experience into the cockpit and is passionate about developing capable, confident, and safety-minded pilots.

Jacob founded Peak Performance Helicopters alongside his father-in-law with the goal of building a family-owned helicopter company known for exceptional training, professional service, and genuine care for the people they fly. For Jacob and his family, helicopters have never been simply a business—they’ve been a way of life.
